Fun Guy Tables Behind the Scenes

Defined by organic forms that recall the silhouettes of fungi, each Fun Guy table is realised through a handcrafted process that combines traditional metalworking techniques with a tactile approach to material and surface.

Beginning with a model sculpted by Hamrei, each piece is first cast in wax, hand-refined and subsequently transformed into fine bronze. Once cast, each table is meticulously reworked by hand through carving, welding, polishing or patination, resulting in surfaces that reveal depth, texture and subtle variation.
